FIRST STEP

     Assalamualaikum dan selamat sejahtera to all my readers! Anyway untuk sepatah dua kata untuk blog yang agak lama la wujud ni, and but did't start yet... And i would like to say sorry to all my followers if u waiting me to post a blog~ (cam ramai followers jek haha!)

     Straight foward! Blog ini diwujudkan adalah bertujuan untuk mengeluarkan artikel-artikel yang berkaitan dengan kajian architecture untuk studio aku... Sebelum ni pernah wujud juga blog architecture yang dibuka untuk aku, but for the history of architecture lah, tapi sekarang blog tersebut dah bertukar kepada blog yang lebih awesome which is Exploded in Mute, dan blog tersebut adalah blog yang tanpa fokus digunakan sebagai medium untuk apa sahaja buah fikiran dari minda kreatif aku (cehh...).

     By the way, bagi sesiap yang kenal aku... aku rasa diorang akan bemonolong dalam jasad diorang lebih kurang, " WTF, budak ni... bukan ke lecturer nak pantau blog ni, apasal bleh tulis blog macam diari ni! Buat la ayat formal baru sopan... Baru orang nak baca, baru la nampak macam proposal kerajaan~!". Listen kid, im still on my writting style... lagipun kalau korang buat artikel-artikel formal~ eh! aku tahu kelebihan artikel formal, senang la nak plagiat... kan? kan? Tapi aku tak, aku baik....

     Kepada our Studio Master En. Firdaus yang mengkelolakan blog Bahasa Orang Merantau, ingin saya memohon ampun dan maaf sekiranya gaya penulisan saya membuatkan anda kurang selesa ketika membaca blog saya. Pada pendapat saya, ini adalah cara terbaik untuk menarik saya berblogging and bertindak jujur dalam melaksanakan tugasan di blog ini. Alhamdulillah~

PROJECT TWO : G OFFICE (60%)

Introduction :

a) Green building

b) Blends well with surrounding kampung area

Theme : " Dan kemukakanlah kepada mereka misal perbandingan: Kehidupan dunia ini samalah seperti air yang Kami turunkan dari langit, lalu bercampur aduklah tanaman di bumi antara satu sama lain (dan kembang suburlah ia) disebabkan air itu; kemudian menjadilah ia kering hancur ditiup angin; dan (ingatlah) adalah Allah Maha Kuasa atas tiap-tiap sesuatu."

Project Duration : 9 weeks

The Task :

Introduction to the site analysis in the kampung residental area.

The students will be divided into group and to carry out the site analysis in -----------.

The area of study shall be as follows :

a) Accessibility

b) Topography & Vegetation

c) Social Activities & Culture

d) Sensorial

e) Amenities

f) Tropical issues

Requirements :

Task 1

- Site Visit / Case Studies (group task)

- All groups must collaborate to produce the site drawings and site model.

- Carry out the research and precedent studies of the topics.

- Prepare Powerpoint presentation and report in A3 format.

Task 2

a) 2D composition (individual)

- any medium in one (1) A2 presentation board

- you may treat this as your conceptual board

b) Schematic Design Project (individual) Drawings

- site plan - 1:200

- building plans, elevations & sections - 1:100

- special section showing construction detail - 1:20

- external perspectives in relation to the site context

- interior perspectives

c) Model

- scale 1:100

- to show internal qualities and facade treatment

Design Proposal (individual) :

The students are expected to :

a) carry out detailed research on tropical building

b) carry out precedent studies of existing green offices & relevant project

c) carry out individual site analysis

d) establish design idea & concept base on research, precedent studies & site analysis

e) develop design ideas & concept into schematic design proposal

f) prepare presentation board & model

Space requirement :

Ground Floor

a) a reception / lobby

b) meeting room

c) managing Director's room adjoining to meeting room + toilet + pa's office

c) a director's room

d) a common area for some staff

First Floor

a) managers room x 4

b) discussion area 5-6 people

c) rest room

d) Praying room

e) toilet / shower

f) storage

g) pantry

Second Floor

a) recreation area - dart board, carom, pingpong table etc..

b) guest room / balcony - drink & watch tv

c) toilet / shower room

*Built-up area : 700 - 800 sqm

Assessment :

This project 2 carries 60% of your overall mark. The mark constitute of the following stages ;

a) Seminar on site analysis (group work) = 10%

b) Seminar on the precedent studies = 10 %

c) Schematic Design - Interim Crit 1 = 10 %

d) Schematic Design - Interim Crit 2= 20%

d) Final Shematic Design = 50%
